About

About me

Welcome to my portfolio.

Here you'll find a collection of my most proudest work, created over the past three years whilst studying Illustration at York Saint John University. Originally from Siaulia, Lithuania, I moved to the United Kingdom when I was only three years old.

Arts and crafts had always been a strong part of my upbringing - my mother's paintings and my uncles passion for illustration such as Dragon Ball Z and Naruto, played a big role in shaping my own love for art. I clearly remember my uncle telling me at fourteen that he hoped to one day see me earn a degree in Illustration - and now, I am proud to say I've done just that.

As a teenager, I was deeply inspired by Steven Universe, and spent a lot of time designing unique gemstone characters. Over time, my interests expanded to tattoo design and character development. Looking back, I think my passion for character design began with the early drawings of those gemstone characters and obsessing over drawing cat personas  to make myself noticeable on the internet.

Throughout my degree, I've explored those two career paths - from understanding tattooing, I have developed my love for strong and precise linework but also developing original characters for games and TV shows.

One of my long-term goals is to create a comic series based on Baltic culture. I believe that smaller countries like Lithuania deserve more recognition in mainstream media, and I hope to contribute to that visibility through my work.

PORTFOLIO

These are my best works that I have produced over the 3 years of my Illustration degree. In 1st year, I did not do a lot of digital and I mainly drew in my sketchbooks, the reason being is that I was still experimenting and finding which medium suited me the best.

- Woe Iz Me (2024)
